 🌍 Understanding the Difference Between Earth and Neutral ⚡

In electrical systems, earth (ground) and neutral are often confused, but they serve distinct roles:

⚫Neutral:
🔻The return path for current in an AC system.
🔻Typically connected to the star point in a three-phase system or the grounded point of a single-phase system.
🔻Neutral carries current during normal operation.

🟢Earth (Ground):
🔻A safety mechanism designed to protect against electrical faults.
🔻Connected to the physical earth to prevent shocks by discharging excess electrical energy.
🔻Earth should not carry current under normal operation unless there’s a fault.

Key Difference:
Neutral is part of the current flow, while earth is purely for safety. Mixing these up could lead to dangerous situations, especially in fault conditions. ⚡
